Alexander the Great was named Grand Champion Bull as a senior calf in Dual Purpose Show in Kansas in October '06. He is tested THF and polled.
Plan to collect him early in 2007. As his name implies; Could he be the next Founder of an Empire?
Alexander the Great highlights are on Maternal traits with ease of calving, milking ability, strong udders, great growth & stature. He also has a very calm docile attitude.
From Nile Valley's strongest cow family the Optimil's. They plain work. His deep pedigree combines three NV cow families: Optimils, Roses, & Mamies. Never before have we linked them.
N. V. Optimil 112, a 2 year old 3/4 sister sold to Vinra Dairy in KS is milking 55# daily. Several paternal steers sired by N.V. Rose Bouquet-P have been excellent club calves and feedlot gain tested. Just recently a Bouquet daughter N. V Ada 35-P was named Junior Champion at the Dual Show. Alexander the Great is a member of the 1st Place Get of Sire group and 1st place Best 5 Head.
Versatile to both dairy and beef industry. Commercial producers can use Alexander the Great to improve the milk in their beef herd.
We feel he combines both beef and milk that both sides of the fence can benefit from his progeny. More Milk + More Meat = the Weigh to Grow.
